SPOTTING A FAKE LORAC PRO PALETTE

DON'T BE FOOLED INTO PURCHASING THE FAKE LORAC PALETTE

How hurt and deceived do you feel when you've been cheated and sold something fake without knowing? Whether it's a bag, a clothing item and the most heart-breaking of all, makeup (because we use it directly on our skin).

A good friend of mine purchased her first ever eyeshadow palette, and out of excitement, she didn't ask for my opinion (as she usually does) nor did she ask herself why it was so damn cheap!

THE FAKE GIVEAWAYS

Font
The fake palette has an obvious blur in the font. It is smudged looking and the 'e' just about looks like an 'e'. Terrible.

Spelling Error
This one kinda made me laugh. If you're planning on replicating such a popular american product, you'd think it would look near perfect. On the back of the palette, there is a barcode on the left hand side to direct you to tutorials, in this case 'TURORIALS'? ha.

Packaging
The packaging has an extremely cheap, cardboard-y feel to it. It's not even a true black like the original ones I've seen on the official Lorac website.

The batch number is near invisible. On original makeup products, the batch number must be clear for security purposes.

The shadows
There are gaps on the edges of each eye shadow pan, which means less fake product. So not only are you sold a fake product, you don't even get your money's worth!

The eye shadows itself are soo chalky and powdery, with one swatch there's hardly much product compared to the swatches I've seen on blogs and Youtube of the original palette. The matte shades (which are barely visible) are worse than the shimmer ones (they are a tiny bit creamy I'll give them that).

POINTS TO CONSIDER

If majority of the people who recommend this product say its super hard to get hold of (in the UK), question it! Email the seller or the store directly and ask questions! There is no harm in that. Ask where they receive their stock from and a recent picture taken by them, not the professional ones of the original palette -_-

If you receive no reply from the seller (for at least 2 weeks) then its probably fake.

If you have been 'product catfished' it is your right to demand a refund straight away, especially if it has been sold as an original. Then bin the fake asap, please don't use counterfeit products on your face, it's too beautiful!

THE FAKES AND REALS

Fakes are available on Amazon & eBay!

You may find the originals it on online makeup stores such as Rosa's (where it is ridiculously priced) or on the actual Lorac website for $42 (around £30 exc p&p).
