Drum rolls pleaseeeeeee, I finally got my very first Sleek Eyeshadow Palette! I have no idea why I've never purchased one before, I've always heard good things so when I received this Vintage Romance Palette last week I was so excited to finally try it out.

The palette has a mix of purples, reds and golds and are pigmented - some shades do appear subtle however the intensity can be built when you pack the shade on. Most of the palette contains shimmery shades which have small bits of glitter inside the actual product but I noticed that once applied, it doesn't appear that crazy kind of glittery at all. There is only one matte shade and it is one gorgeous shade.

TOP: Pretty in Paris, Meet in Madrid, Court in Cannes, Lust in LA, Romance in Rome, Propose in Prague
BOTTOM: A Vow in Venice, Marry in Monte Carlo, Honeymoon in Hollywood, Bliss in Barcelona, Forever in Florence, Love in London

I've read so many reviews prior to trying the palette and a lot of them said to definitely wear an eyeshadow primer to ensure the shadows last throughout most part of the day. So while trying this palette out during the past week, I wore it with and without an eyeshadow primer to test its longevity. It definitely lasts longer with a primer!

I used the matte shade 'Propose in Prague' on my crease, 'Forever in Florence' all over my lids and 'Love in London' and the lash line and outer corners. The matte shade blended really well with a brush but the two shimmery shades applied better with my fingers.

The Sleek palettes are perfect for beginners and for those who don't want to splurge on eyeshadow palettes. The brand have a huge range of palettes so there's definitely one that I'm sure you'll love. They also have several new releases and limited edition throughout the year so do keep an eye out!

- a mix of shades to take you from day looks through to night
- affordable (there are always 3 for 2 OR 2 for £12 on Sleek)
- sturdy packages

- without a primer, the eyeshadows will fade throughout the day
- Although I love love love the names of all the shadows, they're written on a flimsy plastic and if lost (which is likely for me) I won't know which shade is which. The shades aren't even written on the back of the box.
