BEAUTYBAY COLOUR COSMETICS BOX #BBDARETOSHARE

The team at BeautyBay so so kindly sent me this box a while back and I didn't want to get a review up straight away without trying every single product in depth. Products I've previously purchased from BeautyBay has never disappointed me and there are still SO many from the website I haven't tried. A few of the brands mentioned below are new to me and products that I wouldn't necessarily opt for but I'm so grateful for the team to introduce me to them!

ARTDECO FIXING POWDER BOX (purchase here)

"a transparent powder specially formulated to fix any foundation or make lipstick last longer".

I used to be so skeptical in trying out products from unknown brands but recently I've become so daring and I'm so glad because I came across this and fell in love. I used this powder in my BeautyBay Code Red look which you can view here. I generally don't set my face with powders because of how dry it can get but recently my t-zone and around my nose has been getting a bit oily. Believe me when I say after applying it 7am in the morning, when I get home late in the evening, my face is still matte. The powder is of a silky, smooth texture and is a dream to work with. It doesn't leave a powdery or ashy finish.

I have been lovinggg the entire Spectrum brush range that was sent to me a few weeks back. Brushes don't need to always be used for things they are meant for. For example, this particular domed powder brush is great for brushing off powder after baking, lightly setting the face with loose powder or bronzing. The brushes from the entire range are extremely soft and do not shed.

I've recently gotten back into doing eyeliner every day. The tip is super thin and is so easy to control. It reminds me a lot like the Kat Von D Tattoo Liner and creates the most precise flicks. It is long-lasting, it does not smudge and dries fairly quickly. I've been using mine for nearly a month now and it has not dried out. I loveee the rose gold packaging, it isn't like your standard black, plastic packaging - this one definitely stands out. 

LA SPLASH MATTE LIQUID LIPSTICK IN GHOULISH (purchase here)

I have previously reviews this LA Splash liquid lipstick range on my blog which you can read here. I haven't worn the shade Ghoulish in the longest time, and receiving it reminded me of how much I used to love this shade with a brown lip liner because on its own it totally washed me out. Ghoulish is one of those colours that look different against different complexions. It's a pinky purple with grey undertones. It dries a complete nice type of matte - not the ones that dry out your lips.

Ever since the liquid lipstick craze, I've barely reached for any lipstick bullets. This one is a deep plum shade, perfect for the winter months. It's very creamy in texture and is a moisturising, matte finish. I've worn this a couple of times to a few work meetings, it's quite pigmented and lasted me 4-5 hours before needing to re-apply (which is fab for a lipstick). I can't wait to try out more lighter shades from the range.

I've become such a palette junkie that some would say it's super unhealthy. The more newly released palettes I see, the more I want! Ga-De is another unfamiliar brand I've come across and palettes from unfamiliar brands tend to be quite rubbish but this one took me to surprise. The shades are all wearable, pigmented, super soft in texture and all the shades are right up my street.

NAILBERRY NAIL LAQUER IN ELEGANCE (purchase here) & HONESTY (purchase here)

"known for its long lasting durability and professional quality finish". 

I've mentioned the shade Honesty over on my Snapchat *skinfacebeauty* a few times in the last month. Its the most perrrfect shade of nude, the nude that's so hard to find from any other brand. I've worn this non stop and need to purchase a backup. The polish is long-lasting, it doesn't flake off after a few days and nor does it chip. It's also full coverage - I only use one coat and it's enough. It's a breathable and vegan friendly nail polish. Thank you so much to Megan for sending me this shade!

The perfect felt tip liquid liner for beginners as well as those who've been doing eyeliner for years. With this type of felt tip pen, you can create simple eyeliner looks as well as dramatic ones. It is a true shade of black and is long lasting. The tip is so precise, it will allow you to easily control how thin or thick you want your eyeliner to be. It is budge proof, smudge proof and affordable.

I've been wearing lashes everyday for the longest time because my real lashes are literally non existent. If you follow me on my Instagram (_skinfacebeauty) then you'd know I recently had the LVL lash treatment, where your real lashes are given a lift which lasts for 6-8 weeks. The treatment has showed me lashes I never even knew I had, and so instead of applying lashes everyday, I throw on this mascara. Believe me when I say it looks like I'm wearing faux lashes when I'm not. The mascara is a true back and not clumpy (yay). 

My top 3 products out of all the ones I've mentioned is the Nailberry Nail Laquer in Honesty (no surprise there) because I've spent the longest time looking for this particular shade of nude and I'm so happy I finally have it. The Artdeco Fixing Powder is a great edition to my collection, my cult favourite Laura Mercier is on the pricey side so it's great to have a cheaper alternative. And finally, the Ga-De Matte Eyeshadow Palette - no surprise either being a palette addict. BeautyBay is such an amazing (yet dangerous) place to shop. They've never disappointed me with their service and delivery.
