When I first started blogging, I was a huge fan of subscription boxes. It was an awesome way to discover and try out new and well-loved products. There have been many products that I have discovered and loved and still use till today. It's been a long time since I've received a subscription box and I'm so excited to
share with you the Cohorted April 2020 box.
What is Cohorted?
Cohorted is a luxury monthly subscription box filled with premium (sometimes limited edition) beauty and skincare products for you to try out - they are definitely not your average subscription box. The monthly cost of £39.99 will bring you a a selection of premium products whereas a single beauty or skincare item can cost you at least £40 itself - think of the money you are saving! April's boxed has a value of £147 for 8 luxury products. For new subscribers, Cohorted are currently gifting a free Too Faced Primed and Poreless Face Primer when you use discount code COHORTEDGIFTME. Cohorted also ship internationally!

The products in this months box are mostly full-sized so you definitely will receive the best for £39.99.

I was so pleased to receive this palette as part of this months box. Not only is the packaging aesthetically pleasing, but the shades are definitely all so pretty and wearable. I have always loved copper and warm orange tones on my eyes as they compliment me really well. The palette has a really good selection of matte and shimmery colours for both day and night looks. When swatched, the texture of the eyeshadows were quite smooth and buttery and they blend really well with each other. I swatched the subtle shades twice to get this colour, nonetheless they did swatch well.

The most exciting product of this months box - an ABH palette! I have never been disappointed with any ABH products so when I received this palette I was in awe. The cream contour kit creates a natural looking sculpt which blends seamlessly into the skin. It works really well on my dry skin and glided on flawlessly when used with a synthetic brush. I apply small amounts of the product each time and built on the product if needed using a beautyblender - the more product you use, the more dramatic your sculpting. The trick is to make sure the product is blended well and correctly to ensure there is no harsh lines visible. I set the contour with the powder version to make sure my contour stays put all day.
This is the first time I have come across this brand. The shade is was sent was the same for both products - a mauvey pink. The nail polish has a water permeable and breathable formula that has been stripped out of all the bad stuff that you will find in other nail polishes. The matte liquid lipstick matches the same shade as the nail polish. It is very pigmented with one swipe and lasted a good 5 hours on me without crumbling off. All Kester Black products are vegan and cruelty free.
I have been using the same toothpaste brand for years and I've never tried out anything different. I wanted a toothpaste that cleaned and protected my teeth and it did just that. As soon as I saw this toothpaste, I noticed how luxury it is. It smelt and tasted like mint and cinnamon which was very pleasant and yes, it did keep my teeth clean. I loved the experience and I am enjoying brushing my teeth with such expensive toothpaste. It was a treat brushing my teeth with this toothpaste, however, this will not replace me usual toothpaste - I may purchase once in a while.

I regularly use lip scrubs on my lips once or twice a week to get rid of any dry skin. I helps with any flakiness, keeps my lips hydrated, encourages blood flow and most importantly it creates a smooth base for lipstick application. I have used many lip scrubs over the past years and majority of them have been quite harsh and rough. Bybi's lip scrub is made of brown sugar granules, agave, strawberry extract and cinnamon oil. The extract and oils smell so good together and keep the lips nourished and hydrated.
Face masks are my favourite part of skincare and I love trying out new ones. Not only does it improve my skin but it's a 'me time' that I get to enjoy on a regular basis. As my skin is on the drier side, I can still use clay masks on my face as long as I moisturise and hydrate my skin regularly to ensure my skin does not dry out. The mask promises to rejuvenate dull and tired skin and being in quarantine for all these weeks, I feel like my skin is exactly that. After my first use, I noticed how much more brighter my skin was looking. I can't wait to use it more!
I didn't really have high hopes for this exfoliating wash as I've been loving my current skincare products recently. This wash was very pleasant to use. It was not too harsh on my somewhat sensitive skin and did not leave my skin feel tight or dry like some exfoliators have done. It is cream in texture with very tiny particles so it is gentle on the skin. It has been a great addition to my skincare routine over the past couple of weeks and I will definitely be repurchasing the full size.
Thank you for catching up on this months Cohorted box. I hope this post has helped you decide if Cohorted is for you. This box was gifted to me for review purposes and all opinions are mine.
