I love love love a good face mask. I use a face mask about 2-3 times a week and each time it's a different one. A lighter, more basic one during the week and on the weekend I go full out with a deep cleansing mask.
I love it when masks give a strong feeling, it makes me think it's actually working. Whether it be a tingling mask, a tightening mask or a thermal mask - I love it! I have used thermal masks before. The Body Shop Warming Mineral Mask (reviewed here) is an old favourite of mine.
Back to Sanctuary Spa, I have been using this mask once a week for about three weeks now and I have loved how it makes my skin feel. Prior to using this mask, my skin had been breaking out quite a bit and since using this the first time I totally noticed a difference.
I always use a flat foundation brush to apply my masks and as soon as I put this on, I felt a pleasant heating sensation. It stayed warm for about 2-3 minutes and then cooled down but still retained a little heat.
It does say on the tube to keep the mask on for 5 minutes, I kept it on for 15-20 minutes and I didn't have any bad reactions - YAY!
It made my skin feel super soft and fresh looking. I noticed that my slight oily areas (t-zone and around my nose) were not as oily as they were and my breakouts were at bay. The thermal ingredients really helped pull out the impurities in my skin.
Would I recommend this mask? Yes!
