BOOTS HAUL SEPTEMBER 2016

A quick stop at my favourite Boots store for a couple of repurchases ended up with me leaving with so many more things - including a few new releases!

GARNIER MICELLAR CLEANSING WATER (purchase here)
repurchase
I use this micellar everyday without fail to remove my makeup and it does its job SO well. It removes everything from thick concealers to waterproof, stubborn mascaras. On days where I wear subtle makeup, I moisturise my skin well after using this whereas on heavy makeup days, I use double cleanse with another cleanser. This is super gentle, it does not sting the eyes and it's super affordable. There's also an oil-based version and a green top which is for those with sensitive skin. A great inexpensive version of the infamous Bioderma.

L'OREAL INFALLIBLE FIXING MIST (purchase here)
repurchase
First things first, I've read endless reviews from people saying they hate this spray because of the white powder. Before every sprits, you must shake the bottle well so the powder is mixed in with the formula. This product is literally magic in a bottle, it keeps my makeup in place throughout the whole day and does not interfere with my makeup application like some sprays can. It's a cheaper alternative for the cult favourite setting spray by Urban Decay. The spray also does a great job of controlling the oils on my t-zone and can also be used throughout the day as a makeup refresher.

L'OREAL INFALLIBLE MATTIFYING BASE (purchase here)
repurchase
Although I have super dry skin, certain areas of my face like my t-zone and around my nose can look slightly shiny halfway through the day especially as it's super hot right now here in London. Using this primer on those areas after moisturising does a fabulous job of keep those areas matte and the oils at bay. It leaves the skin feel superrr soft and like silk - I absolutely love it.

NYX FIRST BASE PRIMING SPRAY (purchase here)
new release
"A lightweight primer spray that smooths and preps your skin for flawless makeup application".
I lovveeee the Smashbox Primer Spray, it does amazing things to my skin before and after makeup application. I've nearly finished my current one and what perfect time for NYX to release their very own version at a fraction of the price. Looking forward to trying this out.

L'OREAL LIQUID HIGHLIGHT IN GOLD (not released online yet)
new release
As a big fan of gold highlighters, I had to purchase this beautiful liquid gold illuminator. As soon as I swatched it in store I thought, yasss you're coming home with meyyy. I'm thinking of mixing a small amount in with my foundation for an all over glow as well as just applying it on the tops of my cheekbones along with powder highlight for some major glow on glow.

GARNIER MOISTURE MATCH DAILY RICH MOISTURISER (purchase here)
You can never really have enough moisturisers. As a dry skin gal, I always reach for moisturisers for dry skin that are easily absorbed and very hydrating. I've watched a few YouTubers that swear by this particular one hence why I purchased it (yes I am easily influenced). Garnier skincare has never let me down.

BURTS BEES BEESWAX LIP BALM (purchase here)
This particular lip balm won 'Best Lip Balm' award in this years Stylist Awards. I have had superrrrrr dry lips for the last 3-4 months and I've gone through so many tubes of Carmex. Hopefully this Beeswax one has long term positive effects to stop the dryness on my lips.
