THE AW17 CATWALK BEAUTY EDIT

This years AW17 catwalk consisted of bold lips, smudged liner, a matte base, nudes and pastels and overall very natural looking makeup. After looking through lots and lots of pictures from all the highend, well known-brands, I've put together a few you can recreate yourself. I will post my recreations of each look over on my Instagram so keep an eye out. A big thanks to the John Lewis team for sending me these products to try out. The links are affiliate. CHANEL
Chanel's model has a super matte base with high coverage and her cheeks are nicely flushed. I found that YSL's All Hours Foundation would make a great foundation to recreate the flawless base. I tested this out everyday for an entire week at work and some evenings out to see how well it lasts. My office at work gets pretty hot and I can definitely say this lasted throughout my entire 12 hour day without melting off, smudging or oxidising. You can easily recreate a full coverage base with one pump of foundation. It is buildable but I find it so pigmented that one pump is more than enough and because of this, it doesn't feel heavy on the skin at all. There are 22 shades available in this range. I wear shade BD45.

ELLIE SAAB
Ellie Saab's stunning look was put together with a smokey eye and some sparkle. Marc Jacob's Eye-Conic Longwear Eyeshadow Palette in Glambition consists of some gorgeous shades which are perfect for the staple smokey eye. The palette also has a gold sparkle for the finishing touch. The bronze and gold hues throughout this palette is so me! They are all so buttery and velvet like. They are all so wearable - I have worn the dark brown shade in my crease with the gold all over my lid for a subtle, evening dinner look. They blend so well

CHLOE
Chloe's look was focused all around the smudged liner look with a subtle nude all over the lid. Marc Jacob's Smudge Brush is perfect to smudge out the lower lash line as well as your top liner. The bristles are densely packed together which allows you to control exactly how smudged out you want your look to be. The Shadow Brush by Marc Jacobs will allow you to pack on shadow all over the lid. It picks up the right amount of pigment and the brush is nicely curved to fit around the lid.
