When acne came back to haunt me

Sebamed Clear Face Gel  |  £5.55

"Combats pimples, blackheads and skin impurities"

I've been meaning to write up my acne update for a while, but I thought I had to use this gel for at least 6-8 weeks for me to see visible results. During christmas last year, I had a massive acne breakout. I had stopped using the products I mentioned in my first acne post (click here) just to see how my skin would react- and obviously it wasn't good. I didn't like the fact that my skin had gotten so used to the thick coconut oil so I looked out for cheaper and lighter alternatives. I eventually came across this lightweight face gel from FeelUnique.

THE FABULOUS INGREDIENTS
panthenol: supports the healing process of all types of acne
hyaluronic acid: encourages the right type and amount of moisture in the skin
aloe vera: soothes the skin and works as an anti-inflammatory
allantoin: smooths and soothes the skin
pH of 5.5: prevents the growth of acne bacteria

The gel has a liquidy/gel consistency and does not clog pores. It keeps my skin hydrated throughout the day and once applied my skin feels tight. For the annoying spot here and there, I apply the gel directly onto the spot overnight and by morning it's much less 'violent' (I'm sure you get what I mean).

The gel is suitable for all types of acne prone skin from combination skin to super oily- I wouldn't recommend this to people with dry skin. I apply a pea sized amount twice a day- everyday. It feels like rubbing water into the skin for the first couple of seconds but straight after that it sinks in and feels like an actual moisturiser.

I'm afraid I have no pictures from when I first broke out! After 3 and a half months of using this product consistently in my routine, my acne has improved so much. I can go my day without the need of covering up with foundation- yay!
