AUTUMN MAKEUP STAPLES

Autumn has to be my favourite season! Although it's cold (ugh), I love wrapping up in capes, blanket styles scarves paired with chunky boots. Not forgetting, changing up my makeup to deeper lips and bolder eyes. Here are a few of my favourites.

EYES
Kicking off with eyes, if you haven't noticed from my Instagram (_skinfacebeauty) I am very much obsessed with Bobbi Brown's Eyeshadow in Camel  |  £17.50  (mentioned here). It's been my my go-to eyeshadow to wear since the summer and it fits perfectly into these cold months as it is a gorgeous, deep, burnt orange shade. I love wearing this on its own all over my lids- with no liner and fluttery lashes.

I had to add something glitzy but easy to use and I've gone for H&M's single eyeshadow in Chin Chin  |  £4.99  (mentioned here). It has a slight creamy texture and is easy to apply using a brush as well as your fingers. Perfect for party looks. They have a huge range of colours and I'm looking forward to picking up some yellow and golds that I've had my eye on.

A staple autumn palette is none other than the bloggers favourite Zoeva Cocoa Blend Eyeshadow Palette  |  £15.50  (reviewed here). As mentioned in my review, the palette has a mixture of matte, shimmery and sparkly colours which can take you from day to night looks. There are an amazing bunch of 10 eye shadows especially Substitute for Love and Freshly Toasted which make gorgeous Autumn shades.

CHEEKS
If you didn't know, I'm not really a blusher kinda gurl. I always reach for bronzers instead, I prefer the brown-y look opposed to pinks. However a couple winters ago I purchased Sleek Blusher in Sahara  |  £4.49  (click here) and I loved the off brown look it gave me. I've swatched all Sleek blushes and they are all highly pigmented. Sahara is long lasting and super easy to blend.

Carrying on the blush topic, Mac Sheertone Blush in Gingerly  |  £18.50  (click here) has been another favourite blusher of mine. Having only two blushers, these obviously had to make it on my autumn list. This is a lovely peachy brown and it gives a natural pop of colour to the cheeks.

I purchased Mac Mineralise Skinfinish in Gold Deposit  |  £24.00  (mentioned here) back in summer when I was obsessed with deep gold highlighters. But who's to say it can't be worn in the cold weather either? This highlighter can go wrong when overdone as it is extremely pigmented. I lightly dust a tiny amount onto the tops of my cheeks for a subtle look.
LIPS
Mac Stone Lipstick  |  £15.50  (reviewed here) hasn't really had much love from me. As a makeup/lipstick hoarder, there's only so many lipsticks I can wear. Stone is a muted greyish taupe brown- such a difficult colour to describe lol. It's not totally matte opposed to Ruby Woo so when I apply it, I matte it down with some translucent powder. It's definitely one of those colours that look different against different complexions so swatch before purchasing!

An old old favourite, Rimmel Kate Lipstick in 107 Wine  |  £5.49  (reviewed here). My first ever plum shade lipstick and autumn wouldn't be autumn without a plum lipstick right? As much as I love the lipstick, it is prone to bleeding so it must be worn with a lip liner.

I wear Max Factor Brown n Bold lip liner  |  £4.99  (mentioned here) and (here) more than any other lip liner I own. It's the perfect brown toned lip liner and it's SO affordable. It can be worn with any lipstick on top and always creates a gorgeous colour. I love wearing it with Limecrime Cashmere. It applies smoothly on exfoliated lips and lasts 3 to 4 hours.
