2015 BEAUTY FAVOURITES

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

A very happy new year to you all! Thank you to ALL my readers for the support you have given me since the beginning of Skin Face Beauty, I am SO grateful! I can't wait to share with you what I have planned for you lovely readers this year. I can already tell it's going to me an amazing year- being noticed by two of my favourite brands, NYX Cosmetics and Becca Cosmetics, I can't explain how much it means to me!

2015 has definitely been the year of strobing, liquid lipsticks, balayage and lobs (long bobs). I have been involved in 3 out of the 4 (although I did end up dyeing my hair blonde and then red) and I have to say highlighters and liquid lipsticks has literally taken up every empty spot on my dresser!

BEST FOUNDATION AND CONCEALER
Becca Ultimate Coverage Complexion Creme (reviewed here)
I have bragged about this foundation so much over on my Instagram (_skinfacebeauty) for a while now and right so too because this foundation is AMAZING! I love the coverage, the finish and how flawless it leaves my face looking. For more details on how I like to apply my foundations (click here). I purchased mine from SpaceNK. Click on the review link for more details.

Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer (reviewed here)
*please note: the link is an old review. I will have an updated concealing routine up soon. I do post short videos over on my Snapchat (skinfacebeauty).
This concealer is not a new favourite, it's been my favourite for over 2 years now and I'm yet to find a replacement as good as this. Do you have any recommendations? I have super dark under eye circles so this concealer is definitely a must have for me. Click on the review link for more details.

BEST CONTOUR PRODUCT
Laura Mercier Flawless Contour Kit (reviewed here)
I'm not one to contour everyday, I usually stick to good old bronzer. But occasionally, I do like to go all out and for those days I use this cream contour kit. This is super easy to blend and I love the fact that there is three different contour shades for you to choose how strong you want your contour to be. Click on the review link for more details.

BEST HIGHLIGHTER
Laura Geller Highlighter in Gilded Honey (click here)
Hands down, the best highlighter ever invented. I have the infamous Becca Champagne Pop which I haven't even used yet solely because I can't leave the house without using Gilded Honey- that's how beaut it is. It gives the perfect glow and I love applying it on top of my cheeks, brow bone, inner corner of my eyes, on the tip of my nose and a little above my brows- yes I love going all out!

BEST LIP LINERS AND LIQUID LIPSTICKS
NYX Lip Liners (reviewed here)
I can't remember how long I waited to get my hands on some NYX lip liners let alone the rest of their products. The colour range is absolutely HUGE so there's definitely a colour to suit you. I love wearing these liners under my lipsticks to change up the colours and also to encourage the longevity of my lipsticks. The liners can also be mixed together, my favourite is Nude Truffle and Mahogany. Click on the review link for more details.

Colourpop Ultra Matte Liquid Lipsticks (reviewed here)
Colourpop was a new brand that I was introduced to earlier on in the year. It's not easily available in the UK which is a shame because the colours are absolutely stunning. There is a huge range of colours available and not drying like some liquid lipsticks can be. Click on the review link for more details on where I purchased my collection from and a cheeky discount.

BEST EYESHADOW PALETTE/SINGLES
Zoeva Cocoa Blend Eyeshadow Palette (reviewed here)
This palette has definitely the makeup hoarders favourite mainly because of the two gorgeous brown toned shadows it contains. This palette is SO affordable, you get 10 shadows for the price of one Mac shadow! Click on the review link for swatches.

Bobbi Brown Eyeshadow in Camel (mentioned here)
I have quite pigmented eyelids and concealer doesn't always cut it for me as it always creases. So as an everyday shadow, I like to apply Camel all over my lids not only to set my concealer but also give my eyes some definition. I love warms tones and this shade is just so perfect. If you can't get your hands on Mac Uninterrupted, this is a great alternative.

BEST FACE MASK
Glamglow Supermud Clearing Treatment (reviewed here)
I've been loving this mask for over a year now and I am not on my second pot. Although the product comes in a small pot, a little goes a long way so it'll last a long time. This mask does amazing things and does a great job of reducing the appearance of pores as well as encouraging clearer looking skin. A must have mask! Click on the review link for more details.

BEST BUY STRAIGHT FROM AMERICA
Lip Kits by Kylie (click here)
I'm laughing as I write this part because this favourites title doesn't even exist lol but I just had to include these lipsticks in this post!
Kylie Jenner's liquid lipstick and lip liner kits definitely broke the internet when it was released. I remember refreshing the page a million times before reaching its actual launch time and I managed to get onto the website before 5pm (release time) and order a bunch for myself and some as gifts. It was literally a makeup hoarders proud moment- I will tell everyone lol! I love love LOVE all three colours, especially Dolce, it's the perfect nude for my complexion. A full post with swatches will be up soon.

BEST DISCOVERY
Soap & Glory Kiss Ass Instant Retouch Powder (mentioned here)
I have been on the hunt for a drugstore setting powder for AGES. I absolutely love my cult favourite Laura Mercier Translucent powder but I wanted a drugstore one which I can use as an alternative. This purchase was enabled by the stunning Kaushal Beauty and she made the product look SO good. The powder has the slightest (near invisible) yellow undertone and I love the finish it gives when setting my under eye area.

BEST FALSE LASHES
Huda Beauty Lashes in Samantha (click here)
There's no surprise here, I obviously had to include the Huda lashes in my year's favourites. These lashes literally are everything! They dress up every single look and just bring the entire look together. They are finally available here in the UK- YAY, thanks to Cult Beauty.

Prima Lashes (reviewed here)
I LOVE natural yet dramatic lashes. I know that makes no sense but if you have a look at my social media posts you'll know what I mean. The Prima Lashes are still fairly new and their lashes are AMAZING! You ladies should know I won't recommend products if I don't love them myself. They are 100% mink lashes and they are all super fluttery. My two most worn from the collection is Derry and Florence. If the Huda ones are a little out of your price range, I definitely recommend you try these. Click on the review link for more details.
